Stress...the Silent Killer, and How to Fight Back!

Stress.  We all throw that word around nearly as much as our names.  In American culture it seems "stress" has become synonymous with productivity, multi-tasking, and excelling in life.  We seem to forget that stress kills, and contributes to most major diseases.

Now of course, I'm not a doctor and don't want to make false claims.  But lets take a look at the science of stress and you decide for yourself.

We've all heard the term "free radicals" get thrown around.  My first understanding of free radicals was an aesthetician letting me know these pesky things would make me look old.  Who wouldn't be afraid of that???

Looking deeper into the real meaning of free radicals, I now understand them to be electrons without their partner.  That partner, that fellow electron (like a spouse or best friend) offers balance and peace.  Without it, the electron goes wild, wrecking havoc everywhere they go and creates significant damage to the cells in the body.  Perhaps that definition is overly simplistic, but you get the point.

Free radicals result from all kinds of things: exercise, the food we eat, the pollutants in the air....pretty much anything.  And getting worked up and "stressed out" creates these as well.  It is believed by many doctors that our bodies are bombarded by 300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (300 sextillion) free radicals on a daily basis!

So all this talk of free radicals is interesting...but what do they actually do??  They create what is called "oxidative stress" in the body.....the fancy way of saying "aging".  Oxidative stress is scientifically and medically linked to over 200 diseases!  On the website most doctors refer to, the National Library of Medicine/ National Institutes of Health, you can check out more than 105,000 published medical studies on oxidative stress, ranging from cancer to diabetes to heart disease.

So what can we do about this?  How can we step in and prevent this "oxidative stress" from slowly breaking our bodies down?

Anti-oxidants are the buzzword we are all overly familiar with, and we've been told to eat broccoli and blueberries to lead the crusade against such damage.  Anti-oxidants battle free radicals on a 1:1 basis.  It's like an old Western film....the bad guy and the good guy battling it out, killing each other and the movie is over.  How many pounds of blueberries would we have to eat to make a dent?  It's simply not possible.

It seemed there was no chance in making a difference....until science brought something called Nrf2 onto the scene.  The best analogy for understanding the role of Nrf2 is sending the entire army to kill one bad guy.  The bad guy (or free radical) dies and the army marches on to get more bad guys.

What Nrf2 is actually doing is getting your own body to produce anti-oxidant enzymes (that it already knows how to make) to fight free radicals.  That's like the entire fire department putting out a house fire vs. the anti-oxidant Dixie cup of water to fight a fire.  Which do you think will do the trick?

Of course we all want to get our hands on these Nrf2 activators to fight aging, free radicals, and to be as healthy as we can!  It is now possible to do just that with a supplement called Protandim.  It is made of only 5 botanical ingredients, and has 12 published medical studies to validate the science.

See for yourself the incredible impact of this tiny yellow pill:

To get your hands on Protandim (or the skin cream version called True Science), go to A.NU.YU. Healthy Living 's distribution page to order or get more information.

Though we cannot escape getting older, you don't have to let stress tear your body apart.  Don't let your worries, troubles, or even poor food choices kill you.  Be proactive, learn to relax, breathe, meditate, and learn more about this incredible phenomenon of Nrf2 activation.  You'll be glad you did!
